The "Amway Philosophy" That Forms the Core of This Blog
In my last post, I shared the personal story of how I discovered Amway and came to start this blog.
What drew me so deeply to the Amway way of life wasn't just the excellence of the products. It was the unwavering "philosophy" of its founders that flows beneath everything—a philosophy that I believe is not merely a business model, but a blueprint for living a richer, more fulfilling life.
All the information about beauty and health that I will share on this blog is built upon the foundation of this philosophy.
That philosophy is based on four universal values:
"Freedom," "Family," "Hope," and "Reward"
These four words are the founding principles that have been cherished and passed down through generations in over 100 countries and territories since Amway was founded in 1959.
Allow me to explain, in a little more detail, how I understand each of these values and why they moved me so profoundly.
1. Freedom - The Power to Design a Life of Your Own
The "Freedom" that Amway speaks of means more than just being wealthy or free from the constraints of a 9-to-5 job.
It means having the choice to live a life that is authentically yours, through both mental and economic independence.
We all live with many limitations in our daily lives. However, this philosophy teaches us that everyone, regardless of social labels like race, age, or education, should be given an equal opportunity to "design their own life".
What goals will you pursue?
Who will you work with?
How will you spend your time?
The power to decide all of these things for yourself, rather than having them decided for you, is the true essence of the "Freedom" this philosophy represents.
It leads to the most fundamental liberation of the soul: the ability to be your true self, without pretense.
2. Family - A Community of Support and Mutual Growth
"Family," the foundation of society and the cradle of our humanity, is also at the heart of this philosophy.
The "Family" spoken of here does not refer to blood relations alone.
It refers to the entire community of people who share the same values and who sincerely wish for, encourage, and support one another's success.
In the business world, "competition" may be the norm. But here, "cooperation" is valued above all else.
As one of the founders famously said, "You are not alone," and here, everyone is a member of a global family.
When someone is struggling, others lend a hand. When someone succeeds, others rejoice as if it were their own success. That warm connection gives us the courage to face challenges we could never overcome alone.
3. Hope - The Energy to Believe in a Better Tomorrow
"To live better tomorrow than we did today".
For everyone who shares this desire, "Hope" is the most fundamental energy for carving a path through life.
For those who are dissatisfied with their current situation or feel a vague sense of anxiety about the future, Amway offers a "door to possibility"—a way to change the future through concrete action.
This is not a faint wish that "things might get better someday."
It is a powerful message that instills the conviction that you can create a better future through your own efforts.
I believe it is this "Hope" that allows people to continue to challenge themselves and grow.
4. Reward - The Joy of Seeing Efforts Fairly Recognized
One of the most gratifying moments in life is when your efforts are recognized and fairly evaluated.
In this philosophy, "Reward" encompasses far more than just financial compensation. It holds a richer meaning:
The indescribable satisfaction of achieving a goal
The heartfelt praise and celebration from your peers
And above all, sharing in the joy of someone you helped succeeding
Those who work hard receive rewards worthy of their results.
And helping others ultimately leads to your own success. This respect for a virtuous cycle is the true essence of this philosophy.
These four principles—"Freedom," "Family," "Hope," and "Reward"—are not independent of one another; they are deeply and organically intertwined.
It is the hope for a life of freedom, supported by a family-like community, where the results of your shared efforts are justly rewarded, that gives you the strength to take on new challenges.
This philosophy is the unshakable foundation upon which I speak of "beauty from within," and it is the most important message I want to share with you through this blog.
